Development projects across all sectors mean that engineers are widely sought after as they are integral in technology innovation, including in green energy, the country’s power grid, and software.

Engineers are people who get things done, so it’s vital there is a steady stream of engineering students and apprenticeships to ensure there will be enough to meet the demands of a growing population. In the UK, the University of Cambridge was voted best in the country for its engineering course and continues to produce talented engineers.
